Privacy at a glance

NoteNest is designed as an offline notes application. The app does not require an account and does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, or Android runtime permissions.

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

NoteNest does not collect personal information or sensitive user data and does not send user data to the developer or to external servers.

The app does not collect or transmit:

Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account information
Precise or approximate location
Contacts, call logs, or SMS data
Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
Photos, videos, audio, or files without your direct selection
Usage analytics, diagnostics, or advertising data
Payment or financial information

2. Notes and Other Content You Create

Notes, settings, and other content created in NoteNest are processed locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers because NoteNest does not operate a cloud storage or synchronization service.

If you choose a file, image, backup location, import file, or export destination through Android's system file picker, the app may access only the content you explicitly select for the requested local action. This content is not transmitted to the developer.

3. Permissions

The current version of NoteNest is designed to operate without declared Android permissions. It does not request access to location, contacts, microphone, camera, phone, SMS, notifications, or broad device storage.

Where file selection is needed, the app uses Android's system-provided document or file picker instead of requesting broad storage access.

4. Advertising, Analytics and Tracking

NoteNest does not contain advertising SDKs and does not display third-party advertisements. It also does not use analytics, behavioral tracking, profiling, or cross-app tracking technologies.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, disclose, or share personal or sensitive user data with third parties because the app does not collect or transmit such data.

NoteNest does not use third-party services for advertising, analytics, cloud synchronization, or user tracking.

6. Data Storage, Retention and Deletion

App data is stored locally on your device for as long as you keep it. You control the retention of your notes and can delete notes from within the app.

You can remove local app data by:

Deleting individual notes or other stored items inside the app
Clearing NoteNest's storage through Android settings
Uninstalling the application

If you create an exported backup, that backup remains in the location you selected until you delete it yourself.

7. Accounts

NoteNest does not require or provide user account creation. Therefore, there is no server-side account or account-related personal data to delete.

8. Security

Because NoteNest is designed to keep notes locally, user content is not transmitted to our servers. Local application data is protected by the security mechanisms provided by the Android operating system and the device.

If you use an optional local PIN or pattern feature inside the app, it is intended to provide an additional in-app access control layer. You remain responsible for maintaining the security of your device and backups.

9. GDPR and International Data Transfers

NoteNest does not transmit personal data to the developer's servers and does not transfer user data internationally. Any local processing of notes occurs on the user's device at the user's direction.

Since the developer does not collect or retain personal data through NoteNest, requests relating to access, correction, portability, or deletion generally concern data already under the user's control on the device.

10. Children's Privacy

NoteNest does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users. The app does not require account registration and does not transmit user-created notes to the developer.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features or data practices change, or when required by applicable law or platform policies. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
